Which Level Do I use?

The Grade 2 books, Nouns to Paragraphs, introduce the 2nd Grader to grammar and structure. The average 2nd Grader should begin in the second half of the year. High performers might be able to begin at the end of the 1st or the begining of the 2nd grade. Third graders or struggling readers and writers of any level could begin here.

Elementary I was written for 3rd Grade but some 2nd grade teachers also use this book. (They would progress more slowly through the book.) Some 4th grade teachers begin their instruction with the Elementary I book and progress faster through it to the Elementary II book.

The Elementary II book can be used in the second half of 3rd grade or in 4th grade. However, students who begin with the Nouns to Paragraphs book may be ready for this level earlier.

Both the Elementary I and II books can be used as remediation or review for the older students prior to begining the Intermediate level.

The Intermediate Level was written for students who have mastered the basics and are ready to move into the more complex gramatical structures. It was written for students who are capable of more independent study, but is easily adaptable to an instructor to student situation. It can be started as early as the second half of the 4th grade for high performing students, and as late as 10th or 11th grade for students struggling to understand and use correct English structures.
